Yes, he's been lurking in the shadows, showing up just in time to warm Buffy then slip away... leaving only the impression of his beaten puppy dog eyes and a muscled - but not threateningly so - physique.  Finally, an episode to explain it all...

and leave me wishing that they really, really hadn't.

When Buffy first aired I watched part 1 of the first episode but didn't see the second half. I had somewhere to go and my vcr was broken so i couldn't set it. By the time I got around to watching the show again several episodes had passed. It was still during the first season and watched it regularly after that catching up on all the first seson episodes before the finale (ah, remember when episodes re-ran in case you missed them?) Anyway, because I hadn't watched all the first episodes in order I didn't realize that Angel being a vampire was a surprise. I wonder if it would have shocked me to know that.

And as much as I admit that David Boreanaz is hot and he ended up making Angel interesting and endearing at times (an occasionally goofy) later - I did at the time wonder what the heck is it with ancient vampires hitting on high school girls? Especially when trying to blend, what if somebody gets up in your grill about a creepy older dude hanging around a high school and calls the cops?! :)

And yes, Gypsies are not to be screwed with! Just wait until you find out the true purpose of the curse! Don't mess with gypsies!!
