Another 30 target 3-D shoot down, and another 5 arrows gone the way of the Dodo.
Overshot one target and the arrow embedded itself 1-2 feet below the surface of the stream behind the target. I could see the arrow, but, there was no way to get to that side of the stream without climbing in.
Second arrow, undershot the target. It went under it and stuck in a log. It is terribly hard to pull an arrow out of wood when it is ~3-4 inches deep. The arrow broke during the extraction attempt.
Third arrow? No idea. I must have left it in a target and just walked on to the next target.
Fourth arrow - I coughed at full draw. I have no idea where that arrow went. It was last seen sailing about 7 feet above and to the right of the target.
Fifth arrow - Overshot. I have a terrible time judging distance over 32 yards. It all looks 40 yards to me at this point. So, I sighted for 40. Arrow went over the target never to bee seen again. Re-shot sighting for 35 yards. Ding! Bulls eye (well, not really bulls eye, it was a Deer target)
I am not looking forward to the fall 3-D shoots, since they are shot with broad heads. Broad heads are expensive. You don't want to lose those. Field points are cheap.
