I should do this properly. (EDITED, edited, + clips!)
1 Muse - Absolution
2 Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
3 Opeth - Damnation
4 Moist - Mercedes 5 and Dime
5 The Killers - Hot Fuss
These are of course, my favourite bands! Really difficult in deciding.. I mean, I love a lot of music, but these ones stay with me.
1 Muse - Absolution (+Origin of Symmetry)
This is the most piano-y of their stuff, and what I really liked from the beginning. Really can't go past the piano virtuoso solo in Butterflies and Hurricanes. Mr Bellamy is quite talented <3 Of course, their other albums are all wonderful! Showbiz for its still-style-forming quality (and therefore variety) with great teeny angsty ones like Uno "You could have been number 1....." xD Or the cool bassline in Cave. Origin of Symmetry for it's fucking awesome rock/heavy guitar tracks like one of my all-time favourite songs Bliss "Give me all the peace and joy in your mind", Plug in Baby, the change from the intro to the main part of the song in New Born (Matt loves to do this jump thing on stage at that part..) and when he puts the megaphone up to the mic to sing that bit in Feeling Good! Ah. Love.

2 Porcupine Tree - In Absentia (+Deadwing, Fear of a Blank Planet)
Really tough. They are simply amazing. Steven Wilson is a god..In Absentia is a fucking masterful and amazing album, its concept - serial killer! - the kind of journey and POV it shows you... Lyrics! Riffs!! The textureeeee! These songs are so good on their own as well, sooo gooood. Melancholy and soft then distorted and it just works so well. Blackest Eyes "I got wiring loose inside my head" ........ "Swim with my into your blackest eyes" "It's so erotic when your make-up runs" Trains..The sound of Muzak! All these songs are fucking great. But FoabP is such a good album, though it has less than half the tracks of a normal album (hey, that's prog for you isn't it?) it's concept is really relevant to me personally, our society, a lot of people I know, I think it's just really quite observant.. And you can just listen to the whole thing from start to finish, and it's almost seamless without being repetitive? I don't know how to explain it. but check out the lyrics to Fear of a Blank Planet "I'm through with pornography, the acting is lame, the action is tame, explicityly dull, arousal annulled" .. . Still can't decide which album x_x

3 Opeth - Damnation
Sure FF is good but I'll leave OSTs out of this. I had first head Death Whispered a Lullaby and Hope Leaves a good 5 or 6 years ago? And I loved them.. it wasn't until recently I discovered WHY exactly I liked these compared to other Opeth songs - It's from Damnation, their "soft" album xD Windowpane, the first track is simply amazingggg. I do like Opeth's heavier stuff at times, Watershed is a great album too, and The Drapery Falls is a great mix of metal & prog!

4 Moist - Mercedes 5 and Dime
David Usher's band before his solo works. I really love that this is a lot rockier than his solo stuff, and that they had a keyboardist! I had a real hard time deciding on this vs Creature which also has songs like Ressurection and Tangerine which are great but I stilllll don't know the meaning of (well you never really should try deciphering David's songs.. xD) "Tangerinin' like a rocket, crack the cock into the socket!" wtf? lol. Some great tracks on Mercedes are Underground, Breathe, Mike Hammer (piano is cool in this.).. I dunno just listen to them all! David's voice is just magical. Some strange quality he has in emotion in these songs..

5 The Killers - Hot Fuss
Just added this to the list. Just a whole bunch of great songs. And synth! Something a bit softer as far as I'm concerned, and they're just very catchy.......~~ Also this video clip is cool.
