Trains in Belgium

My short report about trains in Belgium since all our trips in Belgium we made using trains:

Belgium is very convenient country to travel: short distances and high population density caused very well developed public transport system (the area of Belgium is only half of the area of Lithuania but Belgium has three times more residents). It also means that the trains are going very frequentrly. Probably there are no towns in Belgium that you will need to wait more than hour if you will want to go from one town to another.
Variety of train types are also big. So in this short report I will try to show the types of trains that I met in Belgium and many of them we used.

As usually the best trains serves international lines. In the case of Belgium it means connections with Germany and France since nobody threats Netherlands as a foreign country here :)
Lines with Germany are served by Siemens Velaro trains which 1520 version got the name Sapsan recently:

Connections with France are served by Thalys high speed trains:

Most commonly used train by us was Belgian intercity train which is common production of French Ahlstom and Canadian Bombardier:

For us these trains were so similar to Skoda trains now serving Kaunas-Vilnius line:

Inside the train:

This strange train we saw traveling but I never saw them in action:

The most popular form of suburban commuter:

This is probably lowest class train seen in Belgium :))

And finally trains of Brussels underground:

That's all for today. These days I have time deficit to prepare longer reports :)))
