How the future is coming

A few days ago close to the town Panevezys near the motorway Via Baltic opened a new "fuel station". First such fuel station in the country. What's special about it? It's big and has "fuel stations" - charging points - only for EVs. There are no petrol and gasoline at all here:



Up to date, EV charging points have been built at the sites of traditional fuel stations, next to supermarkets or other places of attraction, or simply next to the road without any other infrastructure.



This charging park is built using the full concept of a traditional fuel station: coffee shop, small supermarket. Now, there are 20 charging points, meaning that 20 cars can be charged at the same time. In the future, this number will be increased to 40 (I never saw a fuel station with 40 service places).

This is the first one but not the last one: it seems that at least 6 such power stations will be built next year by this company - Eldrive.









One day such charging parks will become a common thing. But this charging park already got a place in our history - the first full scale purely electric charging park.
