Fate
Eight years ago, the establishment of the NATO Forward Presence Task Force in Lithuania started. The first group of about 200 German servicemen was led by young Colonel Lieutenant Christoph Huber. This officer was remembered trying to speak Lithuanian with the press on several occasions.
They were the lead team and laid the basis for later arrivals, allowing the task force to grow into capable combat units. The colonel spent 6 months in Lithuania and returned to his native country (photo from 2017):
