The recent tensions caused some activities that were nearly forgotten in the last 30+ years. Including tests of ICB - intercontinental ballistic missiles - the most powerful weapon in combination with nuclear warheads.
In June US successfully tested Minutmen 3 ICB after many years of test absence. For several years Putin's clique tries to frighten the world with their "Sarmat" ICB. In fact this is not something very new but a missile similar to older ones without the Ukrainian made elements.

Some experts say that 6 out of 7 Sarmat tests simply failed.
