Thursday nights Thomas and I usually take part in a raid to Serpentshrine Cavern killing Vashj's mans and taking their stuff. What our raid doesn't finish on Thursday, we tackle on Sunday. Well, last Thursday we killed all the bosses (except for Vashj) in a little over three hours. Today, we would've had all evening dedicated to learning the Vashj encounter and maybe even kicking her butt.
We were four raiders short. While I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see Vashj, it is rather nice to have a free Sunday evening for a change. Thomas had come over for the raid since his Internet was down, but since there was no raid, I got the idea that we should finish the last two episodes of Battlestar Galactica: Season Three.
What a great way to end a season! Since it's introduction, the Final Five promised to be a fascinating subplot. I just wonder how it's going to affect their character development and how they will affect the others around them.
But there's still one Cylon missing! Though Season Four is already on the airwaves, I have not seen any of the episodes, but I am calling it now that my bets are NOT on Kara. Her role in this is a harbinger. Harbingers in storytelling tend to take on a role so fundamentally different from "enemy" and "ally", Cylon and human. They are simply an omen of things to come. And this is reinforced by the events of Razor. Though I have not seen Razor, it is revealed that she is the harbinger of destruction and that the people should not follow her. Whatever this means is up for grabs, but I do not think the Final Cylon would lead the human race in this manner.
Rather, I think the Final Cylon would have more direct leadership over the people. My bets are on Roslin. She is the leader of prophecy, and her connection to Hera is very telling. In the vision of the Opera House, two of the three participants are known Cylons. And I do not think it is a coincidence that her cancer has returned on the eve of the awakening of the other four Cylons. When the Galactica came out of jump in the season finale, Roslin was visibly pained. The other four Cylons are awake, yet she is still in the dark about her true nature. The Razor flashbacks also mentioned the Final Cylon will come to light only through great suffering. Yep, that's Roslin!
Clearly I need to watch Razor, and clearly Season Four needs to hurry to DVD!
