I haven't made a Garry's Mod pic in a while now. I really miss that. I enjoyed it. It was fun. It gave me a creative outlet for a game I love. Thing is, I have other games I love as well (namely World of Warcraft), and I have other pursuits and responsibilities that I have to make time for. Garry's Mod has just been taking a back seat lately, and I highly regret that. :(
There are also technical problems I am dealing. My Garry's Mod scenes are not properly saving. I didn't have this problem with the Beta, but I did with the version immediately before and the version immediately after (and I don't know if I can go back to the Beta). I have to make a scene in one sitting. If I have to reload (which is a common occurrence, especially if I mess up or if I want to revert something or even if the scene creation stretches on for a day or more), the save file borks itself. I come back and items are missing, and worse, I can only stay in the game for about thirty seconds before I crash to the desktop. It's highly frustrating to make anything even remotely complex.
The only way I foresee this being fixed is a clean system install; I haven't formatted my computer in several years, so it will probably fix a multitude of errors. But it just hasn't gotten to the point where I am getting blue-screened or my most important applications just refuse to work. Plus, I have hundreds of gigs of data to sort through and back up. It is a monumental effort that will take the better part of a day or two to get back in order. But I suppose I better do it soon before I irreversibly lose something.
Still, that does nothing for my time constraints. I might have to do some rearranging.
