It's my...

Burfday, my bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-buuuurfday!  29...ok, I can now officially say "I am pushing 30".  I did get some confirmation this last weekend however from several people, up to and including a person I hadn't seen since I was 19, that I haven't changed a bit.  Oh thank you wonderful genes of mine!!  I love you Mom, I may not have been blessed with your height or your beautiful auburn hair and green eyes, but at least I got your anti-aging genes!  Hurray!  Now, that's not to say aging is a bad thing, I'd just like to age gracefully :P

I did however take note the other day before dying my hair for the first time in two months, with near two inches of growth (note on why in a second), that there were grays poking out!  I always said the second my hair (if it happens) goes completely gray, I'll stop dying it altogether.  I absolutely love gray hair.  So, why so much growth in such a short period of time?  Well, about two months ago, I went to get my hair trimmed, at this point it was below my shoulders.  The trim was botched, badly.  Needless to say in the course of 4 days, I had my hair fixed/cut 3 times.  It ended up in my old inverted/angled bob.  *sigh*  But, worse, VERY short in the back and sides, not blended well...At.  All.  So with the help of a Biotin tablet everyday I've forced some extra growth, thankfully.  At least now it's almost tolerable.  I could still stand to get back the 6 to 8 inches cut off to begin with.  So much for growing my hair out...again.  Psh.

Also, a few other things that are noteworthy.  I have learned to knit (thank you strega42 , as soon as that same lady makes "how to crochet" videos,  you'll have to tell me)!!  That might make me an "old lady", but it's fun, and pretty handy :P  You know you want a scarf!!  I also took on another job for some extra monies.  I am a personal assistant to a family of 4.  I go to their home a few days a week to help clean up, and organize their lives.  Finally, I get paid for something that I do naturally!  Anyone that knows me, or has been to my home, knows I'm meticulous, organized, and tidy, almost to the point of OCD.  I've been yelled at for it, made fun of, hassled, and tormented for it.  Screw you hippies!  Someone pays me for it now! :P

As well, in the coming weeks expect my website to be fully functional: www.voodoopincushion.com.  I will be selling items that I've crafted by hand.  DIY clothing, jewelry and accessories.  It will also contain a link to my Cafe Press account where I already have a few designs up for people to add to a shirt or mousepad, or whatever.  I will be adding more designs to that.  I'm stepping away from the eBay market since it's flooded with overseas sellers that will sell items (namely jewelry) at ridiculously cheap prices.

Well I'm off to work, and hopefully enjoy my Birthday kiddies!
