Speedsters and Applied Physics

As any people following my journal may have noticed, I've recently been sucked into the Young Justice fandom, and through it, DCAU in general. Given my demonstrated tendency to be thoroughly focused on fandom, the following musings shouldn't surprise me.

I don't know much about Bart other than what other people have said in comments and such. (My access to DC fandom seems limited to wikipedia and youtube, to be honest.)

The other problem with my plot idea is the "knowing better" thing. I'm not sure about the other Earths, but YJ is apparently set on Earth-16. According episode 7 of YJ, in this 'verse, Wally got his powers by purposely replicating his uncle's accident, which demonstrates both a strong understanding of science, and a reckless disregard for his own safety. (Why the kid felt it was worth getting doused in chemicals and struck by lightning is a mystery that may never be solved.) So, he probably would know better. If he would try anyway is up for debate, and probably contingent on the circumstances.

Tricking an evil speedster makes more sense (and has more potential for conflict and an actual plot). In any case, the vibration-equals-self-cooking is something to remember for future fics, I guess.

thoughtformed? What is it? I read the 'about' section in the community's profile, but I don't think I really understand. (Also, what does "app" mean in this context?)

It's a livejournal-based multifandom role-playing game, in which fictional characters keep appearing in an isolated island city, and wacky hijinks ensue. There are more specifics than that, but they're honestly pretty unimportant. And app means apply, as they want potential players to audition, sort of, to make certain they have a good grasp of their characters. If that doesn't sound like your thing, no problem and no pressure, but we're always fishing about for new people to drag into it, so I thought I'd try.
