[after a moment.] Ah. [and the tiniest of glances at Ienzo.] Er.

This certainly puts us in quite the predicament.

Seems to...be that way, yes. Mm.

[going to look away now. isn't that wall over there fascinating?] So...what do we do?

The one who is most capable should be the one to live.

[adjusts his tie obsessively because he's needing something to keep himself busy right about now.]

I have to agree. And..which one of us...do you think should be the one?

Honestly, I'm not very capable. My only real skill aside from my intellect is my extremely limited ability to project illusions...

Well, if you're saying I should...continue on, then.

[very, very long pause.]

I don't think I can kill someone.

Nor could I, but certainly you would be better suited to complete the mission.

I suppose you're right, but-- I can't.

[looks at him finally.] I couldn't.

Well, what choice do we have?

[somewhatfussy]

Do nothing? Perhaps a handshake on how much nothing, exactly, we are doing.

[just. sticks his hand out.]

I doubt that a mere handshake will suffice. At least one of us must complete this round... it should be the best suited individual.

Or we could just stay here. Wait until the others finish. There would be no reason for us to...remain here, correct?

But what if both of us were to die as a consequence? I imagine that even this is timed.

I don't see timers on our hands, do you? All we have to do is stay right here, and we're- what is that colorful idiom, free of the home?

Perhaps so... but think of the benefits of completing this mission. A free wish is no trivial item.
