If you've ever had the situation where you have audio in one place and want it to be in another, up to a friggin' world away, I
The Barix
Instreamer is a cute little *very solid* aluminum box that takes line level audio, encodes to mp3, and serves it up on an internal Shoutcast-type mp3 streaming server, or shoots it to an external server. Encoding quality is very good.
The
Exstreamer is a bit less exotic, and quite a bit less expensive. It decodes a stream and gives you line level out.
And... with either one, on current firmware, when you plug them in, this awesome stream starts issuing forth; from the line outs on the Exstreamer, or the headphone out on the Instreamer. It's a great selection of music that kinda reminds me of what Love 94 would have played back when they existed... and when they were GOOD... back in the early 90s.
