Career/Internships...

Ugh, decisions...

I'm not sure if I've told many of you about my major... It's a major that Penn State made up to fill up the gap between non-technical and technical blending business and IT with bit of a focus in communications - a lot of it on project management stuff.

At US Steel, I'm doing more of the technical stuff. I'm learning programming languages and making/modifying applications that deals with scheduling and calculating grades for the steel making process.

USS has been great to me (Free housing, training, great feedback, opportunities, etc) but I'd like to experience more on the other side of the spectrum. My friend who works for Deloitte told me to come up and apply, and I would love to, just that if I go up to State College, I'll have to miss work. IST Pro Expo is on 9/15 (Monday) and the PSU Fall Career Fair for internships/co-ops are on 9/17 (Wednesday).

It's probably in my best interest to go... But that's 3 days out of work, roughtly $350... Did I mention I'm really poor?

PS - I got up at 4am today... wtf?
I think I'll try to go on the previous weekend (9/12-14), stay till Monday (15) and try to get as many interviews as possible. If they want to do it on Wednesday, I'll just drive back Wednesday for couple hours to get that done. This is going to be crazy amount of driving... Yay for looking for a career...

On another note, someone told me they were surprised that I don't have any accent (I beg to differ, I do have some). Not sure how to respond to that... Thanks?
