Life's going alright... I enjoy my work and people I work with/for. It's interesting seeing the millside of the work and the behind-the-scenes work of programmers (me) being at the plant. It's an amazing experience.
As far as social life goes, I have 5 friends I talks to often. Nick and Bradley, Mike and Ryan, and Vince... They seem to be the core group of people I contact to do things. I enjoy their presence and the fact that I don't feel like I'm pressing on their life. Things are pretty evened out as far as invite vs. invited. That's amazing thing, really. That's usually the problem I have with most people... But I'm getting over that and moving on... Life's too short for such worries...
My workout is going well. Unfortunately, the belly's not really gone away yet, but I guess it's only been a month. However, my upper body looks a lot more defined than it was before. Some probably won't agree since I'm still bit skinny but I'm working on it haha... 5 days of training - 3 lifting with 20 minutes of elliptical and 2 cardio days with 20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 on the bike. I was running before but my knees started being weird - just a little bit (probably due to the damn flat feet) - so I moved to the ellipticals... Also got some arch support for the workout shoes to make it better. It's been great so far.
I've changed my diet a little bit too. My work has amazing food. All you can eat hot foods, salad bar, sandwich bar, fountain drinks, juices, dessert bar, yogurt and even pretzels! But that's also bad if you're trying to get ripped lol. So I'm having 2 cups of rice with chili (I like it and breakfast is supposed to be your biggest meal!), for lunch, I have a salad (with lettuce, spinach, peas, mushrooms, carrots, little bit of mozzarella cheese and shredded cheese, crab meat/chicken with low-cal ranch dressing (about 1~2 Tbl sp.). I think that's really good seeing how I used to hate salads. But I love crab meat so it works out haha. When I get home, I go to the gym then have a table spoon of flaxseed oil and a protein shake. I stay up for a bit and go to bed at a decent time. Repeat. Haha... Oh, I also have a vitamin pill I take to help. You all know I can't cut out my rice haha
I'm also thinking about drastically reducing my alcohol intake. I get so hyped up when I get to bars and what not and blame the "gayness" of the people in it and drink. For the body and mind, I am limiting to 1 if I break and get a drink. I figure if I go out to a nice place, I'll get a glass a wine but that's pretty healthy and even helpful. I don't know... I guess I'm trying to grow up.
I have been extremely well about spending money. I've been only getting things that I need. As far as entertainment, since I've been here, I've spent maybe $30 on alcohol/cover/movies. That's damn good considering how much I used to blow through in State College. If I can keep up with that, I can do what I'm planning next.
I want to save up around $4~5gs. That'll cover my rent for a year next year. Meaning I can just work a little bit to cover my other expenses. Not having to deal with rent will make me very happy. Also, I want to save up around $2500 for a computer/tv system. I want to get a 30~47" flatscreen tv and use it as my tv for the room and monitor for a mac mini. My room in State College isn't that big and that'll work well for the size I think. I think surround sound being set up in that little room would be excessive but I don't know what to do with it so I probably put it up... Probably up on shelves that I'll install in the room so it doesn't take up sq. footage in the room. Also, mac mini cause I'm a fanboy (hush) and I like that it's so small. Also, I feel bad about leaving my laptop on all the time and want something else to be the main computer. So that'll be great. The whole tv/monitor thing came from Nick and Bradley's house. They have a 52" flatscreen that they use for all their game systems as well as for the mac they have. I think it'll rock.
Haha, I seemed to have typed too much. If you got this far, wow. I'll post some pics later. If you're friends with me on facebook, you can see them in my albums already haha
