I've been traveling a lot for work with this new job, having already gone to New York City, Seattle, Las Vegas and Dallas since starting in March. Right now, the rest of my work travel schedule for 2008 is as follows:
- August 7 - 10: Chicago, IL
- September 10 - 14: New York City, NY
- September 23 - 24: Detroit, MI
- October 7 - 9: Las Vegas, NV
- November 4 - 7: Las Vegas, NV
- November 10 - 12: Los Angeles, CA
- November 19 - 20: Los Angeles, CA
And there's probably going to be at least one more trip to somewhere added on top of this.
I don't mind the travel; I can usually throw in some personal time, like I'm doing with Chicago this weekend, and only pay for the hotel room. Besides, it also builds frequent flier miles. I'm also going to Vegas (again!) with my sister for a long, four-day weekend this month from the 22nd to the 25th, and then again with Carol to Spain and Portugal at the end of November.
Since
ssullivan is out of vacation time, he's pretty much limited to tagging along with me on weekends where he can, like my trip to NYC in September. I'm also planning to join him in Arkansas at the end of September/beginning of October, since his work is taking him to Little Rock. There are only nine states (Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Wyoming, Utah) that I've never visited, and this seems like a good way to knock out both Arkansas and Oklahoma in a long weekend. Which brings me to the point of this post...
What the hell is there to do or see in Arkansas and Oklahoma?
