April - Denver Trip
Nick, Ryan, Troy and I ventured to Denver for a weekend of sightseeing and snowboarding/skiing!

Day 1-

After arriving in Denver, we ventured downtown to the 16th Street Mall to our historic hotel. The weather was brutal! It snowed and rained for most of our trip!

We did a quick check in and rushed off to a tour of the Colorado Capitol building. It’s a great tour because you get to walk through the building’s impressive real gold plated dome! Nick is an architect major, so of course he had to point out all of the building’s highlights!

Following the Capitol, we snagged a quick dinner before heading back to the hotel to rest for a bit. Troy soon arrived from Seattle. We prefunked for a bit and then headed to JR’s for drinks. Messy night, but a lot was revealed.

Day 2-

Troy headed off to a volley ball tournament that was taking place in town while we slept in! We started our day with lunch in historic Larimer Square. This is Denver’s oldest section. The buildings were amazing and the brunch sooo good even though we seemed to be surrounded by all of Denver’s trophy wife soccer moms!

After brunch, we stopped by REI to pick up our lift tickets for Breckenridge. The Denver REI is off the hook! We then stepped out to the city to see some of it’s highlights - The Daneil’s and Fisher Tower, Union Station, the Denver Art Museum, and the Molly Brown Museum being just of a few. A great walk around the city!

After our walk, we tackled our famous post card tradition. It was brutal, but we completed all 80 post cards! Did you get one?

We found ourselves back at the hotel to rest for a bit. After a quick prefunk, we stepped out the Rock Bottom Brewery for appetizers and drinks. I think our waiter was not impressed with our coloring of the paper placemats… even though she hung it up on the bar. Hmmm!

We then hit club Tracks for an amazing night of over the top dancing and fun! By far one of my favorite nights out this year! I didn’t know I even knew those moves lol!

Day 3-

Troy still was consumed with his volley ball league. Ryan, Nick and I slept in late! But with Nick at the wheel, we finally pulled it together to head to Breckenridge for an afternoon on the mountain. The weather and snow were amazing! Ryan and I tackled the slopes for a few hours while Nick did some hiking and toured the town.

After the slopes, we stopped for a quick dinner and then headed back to Denver. We stopped at Whole Foods to load up on cheese, wine and crackers for a quiet night at the hotel… wrapping up our weekend trip.

Day 4-

Back to Seattle! Thanks for the fun trip boys.
