Winds of Change
They're DEFinitely starting to brush along the back of my neck. Now that D*C is over I'm ready to make a SERIOUS leap toward my move to CA. I do wish I'd gone ahead and done this back at the first of the year but no need to dwell. D*C was indeed different this year than any other previous year for a plethora of reasons. I've come to realize that our group truly is a family, and even though I don't like someone or am not getting along with someone he/she is still a group member. Much like I deal with my biological family I'll just have to balance civility and avoidance to try and allow for group harmony. However, a few different evolutions of friendships of late have REALLY made me eager for new friend prospects in California. I need some new energy in my life if for no other reason than to distract me from established energy that is just too wonky for my comfort. Probably better for me to be distracted than to rashly react to lots of lil things that are tweaking me.
Soooooooooo...... though there aren't any solid updates to relay about my life, here's what lil skinny I've got for ya:
- New computer (YAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
- Applying for a special program at Universal Pictures (PRRRAAYYYYYYYYYYYY *crossing fingers, toes, eyes, etc.*)
- Car shopping (though not hurriedly - might have a friend in Northern CA that will lend me a car for a bit when I first move West)
- Taking yet another trip to TX next weekend (to steal...errr...rescue dogs)
- MUST get back on a regular gym schedule - the month of August just sent exercise out the window and I don't want to backslide on the progress that's been made
- NEED to get an income started again...unemployment has lost its novelty
