I WIN!!!
I got a pass last night for a preview screening of Frank Miller's 300 next Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I HAVE to thank my friend Danielle for it because if it wasn't for her there's a good chance I would've missed it. It required printing a page & taking it to a store. I have no printer hooked up currently, and the store only had ONE more pass. At 10:40 p.m. Danielle was SO kind as to put off going to bed and not only print the page, but went up to the store as well to snag the pass. She's not on LJ, but I'm sending her HUGE smooches anyway!!!
She was pretty funny when I called and jokingly asked, "And WHY should I do this??" To which I replied, "Karma's a bitch....hehe," referring to all the times I've helped her over the years and mostly for stuff that wasn't fun - more like diapers for the kids or evacuating the family in the middle of the night to avoid another drunken rampage from her husband. Although, HE did have the nerve to try and dissuade her from assisting, making comments like, "At this hour? You have a family, you know." Things that just made her look at him like, 'You MUST be joking, Mr. stay-at-the-bar-all-night-then-come-home-and-pick-your-kid-up-by-the-head.' (And, ya know, those kids are pretty good at talking now and sometimes like telling the stories about how daddy was screaming and throwing stuff around.)
But - anyhoo - this actually IS a joyous post, and I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to be seeing this one early!!!!
