On Pixel 3A and night sight and cherries

Mar 26, 2020 13:17

So I actually had a conversation with someone about whether when she yelled at people for visiting cherries where I fit in that and yeah, in general, that's another one of those not all men things, where no, I'm not one of the people who is hanging out with a bazillion people but instead when I find cherries I am alone or with one similarly most of the time alone person.

We spent some time talking about something she had noticed, which is that it's hard to, shall we say titrate, sending a strong message to the people who need to hear it without making the people who don't need to hear it feel yelled at for what they're doing.

I've finally got into the social zoom last night, with a virtual lumsfs (a now 40-year-old weekly geeky dinner gathering (after I added a friend without asking I was told that oh we should have put something in the rules. Yes please do add random people) And that's cool.

I haven't done anything with the online games or the interactive gaming, and I wish I knew more to suggest.

(Surging traffic is slowing the internet; things being done to attempt to help - nytimes)

Anyway, I am very much enjoying the walks I've been going on, andI remain a little confused as to what would be permitted if we went to full lock down.  India and New Zealand's full lockdowns certainly do not seem to include leaving the house in any way shape or form.

But the reason I started posting just now was because I wanted to share two pictures from Haines point a few nights back, one taken with night sight and one without. And I'm thinking I prefer the one without. Because what night sight does is makes things  no longer seem to actually be night.

And I'm curious about what other people think about this side by side.

And I really need to download my pictures over to the computer now that I have it back, because the phone does not seem to like to offer for upload anything beyond a certain number of pictures. And I take an astonishing number of pictures on any given walk.

The normal picture is on the left; the night sight picture is on the right. You should be able to click to embiggen.

.

Damn it. I started to write more in an edit and then hit the back button for some stupid reason and of course it's gone. I should wrest myself away from the phone anyway. And figure out laundry. And get out into the nice day.

sometime other than now maybe I'll make a link sausage of the whole mask or no mask discussion.
