Well, today I got to spend time with my friend
duraji_synth. And I can admit, I had a good time.
We first went to see the new Pixar film Up!, since my friend and I are major Pixar fans. Though, what is even better about this is we didn't just go to the film. We went to the 3D version of the film. It was an extra bit of cash, but it was worth it. You see, neither one of us has been to a 3D film before so we didn't know what to expect. Though, I have to admit it was cool to see a full length film pop out of the screen.
My thoughts on the film, whether it was 3D or not. Pixar has yet to disappoint me. It is the story of a man and his love for adventure, even though he has yet to have the experiences that you would normally see as an adventure. And he meets this girl, who has that same love for adventure. They get older together, they get married, they do everything in their lives together. And then, they grow old together. And one day, the man's wife passes away, right when he bought tickets to go take her on an adventure that he promised to take her on. So then, he grows bitter and angry with the world. Then certain events happen, and he decides to keep his promise to his wife to go on that adventure.
The story really touched my heart. I mean, I was close to crying. Not only because it was really touching to see how much this man loved his wife, but because of my own feelings for my boyfriend. And it reminded me of how one day, I would like to give him a trip back to Japan to see his home country again. And from there, maybe travel the world. See all kinds of sites and have all sorts of adventures. It is moments like this, that help me remember how much I love him.
They story was very well written, the voice actors they got were amazing. They had some dark moments, but that is what set Pixar apart from other animation companies. As well as they had some creative ideas for this movie. I recommend you go see it tomorrow! Or when you get a chance, but you must provide pixar money to make more movies.
I also jumped for joy cause they had an official trailer for Toy Story 3, with all the old cast doing the voices. It is set to be released on June 18, 2010. I am so happy to hear this, cause I have been waiting for this movie for all these years. I mean, I have seen every Toy Story movie since the original came out in the 90's in theaters. I am not breaking that tradition. I also heard that for the new movie, Pixar is going to release Blue-ray versions of the old movies, but re-rendered! I am so creaming my pants in Pixar goodness. If anyone wants to give me money towards a PS3 so I can have a blue-ray player, I will love you forever :P.
After the movie, we went to my friends place for a little bit and I got to see more of Silent Hill 2. And my friend got to a part where there was this, and I kid you not, Cock monster. I looked at it and I said, "That is a cock monster isn't it?" And my friend is like, "Yep, you are correct. The creator of the game even admitted that he uses sex images as terror." So yeah, to make matters worse this cock monster was purple. So either it was massively hard with a mouth or suffering from blue balls. You only get to see the head, and the "foreskin" but still... That was interesting to say the least.
After about half an hour, my friend and I went to go see his brother at his last school performance. I didn't know he went to the same school that I graduated from for high school. It hasn't really changed that much, but know they have signs posted for the really retarded who don't know where everything is. Though, I never thought I was going to see my school again after I graduated so it was a nice surprise. The performance was really good, some of the songs that were sung were beautiful. My friends brother is very musically gifted when it comes to instruments. Apparently he knows how to play 7 different instruments beautifully. So, to see him play is a real treat. My school put on a beautiful performance, and I am very glad that I got to go.
After the performance, my friend and I looked for a place to eat since I hadn't had anything to eat since 11 am today. And by then it was already 8pm. So, he found this KFC/Taco Bell and we ordered our food to go. Well, my friend ordered first and the cashier woman was talking to him. She told me that she is working with her fiance. And I said "Congratulations" and asked where the wedding was. She said they are getting married summer of next year. I wish her the best and had some pretty interesting thoughts and ideas. Though that is me being way ahead of myself. I need to take a step at a time, and just wait and see how things pan out.
Oh, before that I got a call from my boyfriend after the performance. He has been a real sweetie and has been trying to call me at least once a day. He told me he got the card I sent him for our 6 month anniversary. And for those LJ readers that are thinking that I am one of those girls that celebrates every single month, I will admit that I have for the last few months. After this the only thing I am celebrating is 1 full year, and then every year after that till I either get married or we break up, cause then dates will change or there will be no celebrating at all. So my boyfriend and I got to talk for awhile, and then I let him talk to my friend. He told my friend that he was envious that he got to take me to a movie since we live long distance he can't take me himself.
After my friend and I got food, we went back to his house and watched Cars since I have never seen it before. Again, Pixar never disappoints.
After that, my friend took me home, I feed my puppies, and now I am waiting for them to get ready for me to make them pee. I am really happy because their eyes are starting to open. It looks so cute! Anyway, I am going to go do my chore and go to sleep. Talk to you all later. My plans for tomorrow are to try to get up, take care of puppies, and work on artwork so I can get all this stuff done. Hopefully I can have a thing or two posted on my FA account.
