The Puppies
Well, it has been a few days now. I didn't report this but on the same evening that the little brown boy died, a little black girl puppy died as well. So, I am down to two little black bundles of joy.
Now, they are still skinny for puppies, but I am trying my best to feed them on schedule and make sure that they are taken care of properly. It was heart breaking for the two little ones that passed, but I have to keep going. There is still two little ones that depend on me. Though, as each day goes by I get more and more attached.
So far, the little girl is doing amazingly. She is actually starting to develop a healthy belly. As I have told some of my friends, I have already named her. I am calling her Chinese Fingertrap. See, when ever we feed her I guess she suckles on the first thing she feels around her mouth. Well, one time when my aunt and I were fawning over the little babies, the puppy started suckling on my finger and wouldn't let go. She suckles very hard for a weak little puppy. So, I am going to call her Chinese Fingertrap. Though, I am also thinking of giving her a vet name of Elvira Bui. So, her full name is going to be Elvira "Chinese Fingertrap" Bui.
The little boy on the other hand, is not doing as well as his sister. He still looks skinny, and doesn't have the same suckling abilities. Though, I am still hoping he will pull through. I haven't named him yet. I guess I am still waiting to see if he improves more.
I also found out the breed of my babies. They are purebred Doberman Pinchers ^^. Seriously, I guess I was destined to have a Doberman. Not only do I get to see a beautiful pair when I was working at the Census, but now I get to raise two beautiful black ones of my own. I am going to keep the little girl for certain. Though, I might keep the little boy as well if all goes well and they live.
