Yeah, these came before GI Joe Extreme, and was something of a continuation of the original GI Joe cartoon, but done by DIC, not Sunbow. I only got to see bits of the Dragonfire mini-series, and never even knew they'd completed anything beyond that until now...

Actually, the picture in the icon is cropped from the art of one of the Pokemon TCG cards (a friend of mine passed along this and another one when I griped about needing to get icons for myself. ;-) )
Kind of amusing thing, really--I started my MU* character, Vulpis as a fire-weilding fox long before I ever heard of the Pokemon. On the flip side, I like the Vulpix as well--especially his first appearance in the cartoon--loved the attitude. :-)
Still annoys me that the Vulpix never got marketed much, while the yellow rat was all over the place. I think I've only ever seen one plush (and that was poor-quality at that), and the mini-figurines had Ninetales but *not* Vulpix. :-/ And to add insult to injury, they've been pushed further to the curb as games have gone on (granted, that's been true for *most* of the original 150, it seems...except for the yellow rat. :-/)
I still rather enjoy the original 150 the most anyway. Most of my favorites are in that set to begin with. Vulpix and Ninetales, Eevee and its evolutions. A few others as well. Then again, all of the aforementioned are cute as well so. I guess I just have a soft spot for cuteness ya know.
