Summing up a span of time.
Welllllll, haven't posted anything here in like......awhile.So now for your amusements I will now post things that involve letters and words, of course it will have to be in point form, because if you've been reading my journal in the past you know I can't form a cohesive paragraph to save my life.
-Still working at the theatre, it's been really retarded as of late due to a former co-worker stealing a bunch of money and getting caught so our district manager has been swinging over our heads like the sword of Damocles....which is a pretty funny picture since he's a short chubby Newfie...anyways so yeah we got a new General Manager,who I still haven't decided if he's a douchebag or not.I tried to get promoted but was told there wasn't room for another full time manager, even though there obviously must be since I've been doing full time work+projection and working 45+ hours a week since like a year ago or more,also I've been single handedly running the Oxford,all it's administrative and maintenance stuff as well as all the bookings....this company is retarded and I hate it.
- There's a slight chance I might be moving back to Charlottetown with Heather, you see the company she works for sucks too, so she's trying to get a job as a videogame tester at a development company in C-town, apparently Charlottetown is hot property for videogame development these days....I don't know why.So yeah there's a slight chance she'll pull up stakes and I'll tag along for the change of scenery and to be in the same province as the Larter side of my family,I haven't been based there since I was 3.Chances are I'll try to get transferred to the C-town theatre wherein an epic power struggle will erupt between Steve and myself with the winner being awarded a crown made of femurs and then shall sit on a throne made of skulls....or something. I won't get as many hours which leaves me open to maybe get some radio work or do something new.
-Speaking of my island family,they've been mostly down here the last month as my Stepmother is in the hospital with heart problems,she's been here since the start of January or so.She's been doing fine but she needs a valve replacement.They were finally going to operate last thursday but then something came up so they had to postpone to next thursday which sucks, because she's so used to being up and around and running errands.My Dad's been staying in my apartment so the only upside of this whole situation is I kind of get to have something of a father/son thing going since we're stuck in the same place the majority of the time.
-I went to an Oxford staff party last night,I haven't been to a good sociable party in a long time,you know people just sitting around drinking, talking about stuff that everyone mutually is into,listening to a little bit of music.Funny story the girl who was hosting it had trouble with her last few parties where someone peed on her neighbours part of the house and someone threw up on their doorstep, so obviously her neighbour was pissed so we were all jokingly asked to not repeat these events, well I was outside waiting with someone who was going to catch a cab,I really needed to pee but didn't want to go back inside so I peed on the street in the middle of the freezing rain,people started joking that I would get her in crap with her neighbour, my defense is that I was peeing on the street which is public property,it probably isn't but I was pretty drunk and didn't care,good time had by all.
-Joel should be back soon after hitch-hiking back from Whitehorse,I can't wait to hang out with him again,it's been awhile.
-I've seen every nominee for best picture so far except for Atonement(Which I've heard every line of a million times since it's been at the Oxford since mid december of last year)and Michael Clayton.Of all the films my choice for Best picture is "There Will Be Blood" I may define this choice a little better at a later time.
