Migrating to KNOPPIX (a LINUX OS)
As had been suggested by one of my LJ friends, I'm converting a laptop to run a version of LINUX. It seems to work on WiFi just fine...but I am still trying to get it to work on a dial-up connection. More to follow.
I will be attending FURther CONfusion in San Jose, from January 15th through the 18th, driving home on the 19th (Monday). Also plan to be at AnthroCon in Pittsburgh in July, and (if I can swing it) back in Germany for EF21 in Berlin (I wil spend a littl time after the convention getting to better know Nuremburg, I think, as well).
