It occurred to me yesterday as Becci and I were driving around Auburn that it was my density ... I mean my destiny that brought me to Auburn. Let me explain - Auburn is the home of the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Museum. Those are three names of fancy automobiles manufactured in Auburn, IN during the 1940's. According to car enthusiasts, Auburn's are pretty nice cars and so are Cord's. But Duesenberg's are by far the epitome of classic cars. So sweet in fact, that most of the few thousand that were made were purchased and driven by American celebrities. Anyway, the Duesenberg, because of it's top quality and aesthetic appeal, was the inspiration of the catch phrase that Ned Ryerson so wittingly employs in my favorite movie, Groundhog Day.
"Watch out for that first step, it's a Duesy!"
