Dad's say the darndest things

If anyone knows my dad, you know he has a way with words that could turn even complete strangers red in the face, and he has. Well, Sunday my suspicions were confirmed that my dad isn't the only one who says things that make no sense or embarass you. Becci and I were at Pizza Hut. We had finished our meal and she was in the bathroom, so I was tuning my ears to a table across the room and I heard the dad say in response to his son's proclamation of fulfillment from pizza:

"Stick a done in him, he's fork."

I ask you, does this guy think he's funny, or is he just plain dumb?
