Being predictable after a long night at work

Oh look! I wrote Good Omens slash. What a surprise.

A while back, linnpuzzle posted this beautiful pic for irisbleu's birthday. Well, she did say she didn't know what was going on in it, and I got hit between the eyes with one of countless possible answers so I asked her if I could, uh....:)

personally affronted by such a spectacular performance of Sloth - one of Crowley's favourite sins, I'm sure.

tasteless Black Death jokes - I want to hear some of these now. I can just about imagine.

GET YOUR LAZY HIBERNATING REPTILIAN ARSE UP. *falls over laughing* Poor street singer. I suppose they had to do something before the radio was invented. Oooh, Gone With the Wings? DO IT.

OOooh, thank you so much. <3 Before radio and TV, they had to be a lot more creative. (I read one fic once that used something called a Possess-O-Gram. I loved it.)

I regret to inform you I have already begun the Civil War abomination. XD

I really need to reread that book.

Anyway, enjoyed this a great deal. Especially all of those little snide jokes that work so well within Crowley's POV.

Yes, you do. It's even more brilliant than I remembered.

Thanks so much! I feel bad about the fandoms I am neglecting at the moment - I don't leave them decisively, I just get led off the path by other dancing lights. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Crowley is a snarky bastard, which is what makes him SO much fun to write. Aziraphale is a bit of a bastard as well, just a different kind.

Thanks so much! Sorry to feedback-whore; I wasn't feeling a dearth of response, I just really wanted to know what you thought! If you want to get more specific about where you got lost, feel free but if not that's cool.

I think this is the deepest I've gone yet into that contentiousness that makes a relationship between these two so interesting, so I was nervous...I don't see this as a fandom well suited to heavy slatherings of angsty drama, at least not without plenty of snarky self-aware commentary on said drama. So good to hear it rings true. (Heh. Crowley is an asshole. But so's Aziraphale, in his own way.)

It does blend many of my favorite things. Not to mention comparative religion and the occasional opportunity to toss off mangled 10-cent Qabala.

“It was his way of thinking, you know,” Aziraphale mused. “That adultery is deceit, it’s lying, it’s the theft of love - it’s not inherent in the lovemaking itself. Love is no sin unless it desecrates itself with dishonesty. Free love, he called it. Certainly no more wrong than anything I’ve heard of people trying over the millennia, and rather touchingly innocent. So passionate, all of them…”

Crowley really had little to say to this. Aziraphale’s rationalisations were getting shakier with each passing century.
Mmm. That feels very believable.

“I’m still angry but I wish you the best. Do come back in one piece. No one’s allowed to kill you but me.”

“I feel so…sheltered in your warm regards.”
Heh.

Oooh, thank you so much! It's so nice to get feedback on older stories, too.

Especially from you...IIRC, you sent me some very sweet indepth feedback once, and I shamefully didn't respond as I should have...I got guilty and lost the thread of thought, and I'm sorry.

Aww! I'm touched that you remembered my feedback. I know I'm bad at responding to in-depth stuff myself, so don't worry.

Aw, thank you so much!

I'd been writing in various fandoms for a while but before these two, never knew what it was like to be hit with the OTP truck. :)
