“Kaori!” Mari exclaimed as she tried to look around the taller girl, but Kaori kept turning around so that Mari couldn’t see what was in her hands. “Kaori, please show me,” Mari pleaded batting her eyelashes and trying to look cute.
Kaori shook her head and giggled. “That’s not going to work on me,” Kaori said. “And you fail at being cute.”
“Fine!” Mari said. She folded her arms over her chest. “I don’t want to see what you have anyway.”
“Okay,” Kaori answered with a smile. She knew that secrets were too much for Mari. She hated it when people kept things hidden from her. The other girl would break soon. She could hear the sound of a foot tapping, and just knew that Mari was standing behind her with a pout on her lips and a glare in her eyes.
“Kaori!” Mari shouted. Kaori smiled. She knew that it would not take very long. “Let me see.” Mari stood on the tips of her toes to try and get a better look, but she was still not tall enough. “You’re too tall!”
“What a mean thing to say,” Kaori said pretending to be a little angry. “Now I’m not going to show you.”
“Okay,” Mari sighed. “I’m sorry I call you a tall ugly monster.”
“Hey!” Kaori exclaimed. Mari took this opportunity to reach over and pull the item from the other girl’s hands. Kaori looked shocked. “Mari!”
Mari laughed and looked down at what she had just snatched. “Chocolate?”
“Yeah,” Kaori answered.
“Who gave you chocolates?”
“No one gave them to me,” Kaori said. “I brought them.” Mari busted out laughing. “What?” Kaori said angrily.
“I’m sorry,” Mari said still snickering a little. “But what a sad life you have that no one will give you chocolates!” Mari started laughing again.
“They are not for me, idiot!” Kaori exclaimed. “Read the tag.”
Mari managed to stop laughing long enough to flip over the little tag connected to the box of chocolates. Her eyes widened. She looked at Kaori causing the other girl to blush and turn away. “For me?”
“Yeah,” Kaori mumbled.
“Kaori…”
“It was stupid,” Kaori quickly said. “Just… just forget about it.” She reached over to try and take the chocolates but Mari had a firm grip on the box.
“Kaori!”
“Mari! Just forget about it!” Kaori shouted pulling harder on the box. Suddenly the box tore open from the force of the two girls pulling on it, and lots of pieces of chocolate candy came falling out. “Shit…” Kaori said looking down at the chocolates, but Mari was still looking at the taller girl.
“Did you mean it?” Mari suddenly whispered. Kaori looked up in shock. “Did you mean it when you wrote that you loved me?”
Kaori felt her face heat up. She looked away for a moment, trying to gain her composure. Biting her lip and with a nervous look on her face Kaori turned, and looking Mari right in the eyes she say softly, “Yes… I do mean it.”
Mari smiled and moved in closer to Kaori. She stood up on her toes and placed a gentle kiss on Kaori’s cheek causing the other girl’s eye to widen. “I love you too.” Kaori smiled and a warm feeling over swept her body. She leaned down and placed a kiss on Mari’s lips. The other girl wrapped her arms around her and leaned into the kiss.
“Hey!” Mari said as they broke the kiss. “You lips taste like chocolate. Did you eat some of my chocolate?” Mari’s outburst over the chocolate was too much. Kaori could not help but to break out in laughter. “You did! You ate some of my chocolates! I thought you loved me. Is this the kind of relationship we are going to have?” By this time Kaori was on the floor laughing from the look on Mari’s face and the way that she was acting. Mari’s whole face was red with anger and she looked very serious.
“Mari stop.”
“No! I cannot believe you ate my chocolates.”
“I think I’m going to pee myself,” Kaori laughed.
“Eww, Kaori!” Mari said with a disgusting look on her face. “Go to the bathroom and do that.”
