Sophistication. That was what Asami wanted the most. She wanted to become a sophisticated young lady and that was what drove her to buy the violin. It was a tiny little classical instrument but people who played it were viewed as sophisticated ladies with talent, patience and class. Asami would need this if she were going to impress her.
She was as beautiful as a Goddess. It was love at first sight for Asami. The other woman was just standing near a winter on a hot summer day. She had on a light blue, striped skirt that tied into a bundle at her hip, and a matching button up shirt with a few buttons left open showing off her sexy stomach. Asami could not take her eyes off of the woman.
She later found out that the woman's name was Kaori and she was a music teacher at a rich private school. Asami felt a little hopeless after that because she knew that she could never get into such a school, and she probably wasn't the type of girl that Miss Kaori would date. Asami was very talkative. She loved to gossip and fool around. Kaori was a private school teacher who would like to cuddle up with a good book, and light a scented candle.
That is why Asami was trying to learn how to play the violin. She wanted to show off her sophisticated side and maybe impress the beautiful woman of her dreams.
Asami found herself at the music store the next day. She was looking at practice books. Asami pouted as she flipped through the pages of the sixth book she had picked up. She didn't understand a single thing written in the thing.
"Need help?" Someone asked.
Asami turned around and came face to face with her, Kaori. For a moment Asami forgot how to talk and just stared at the beautiful woman in front of her.
"Is there something on my face?" Kaori asked when the other girl didn't say anything.
Realizing that she was staring, Asami shook her head. "Oh no! Nothing's wrong with your face. It's very pretty." Asami felt herself blush when she said that.
"Thank you," Kaori giggled. "Are you planning on learning how to play the violin?" She asked noticing that book in Asami's hand.
"Oh!" Asami rubbed the back of her head nervously. "Yeah...I was thinking about it."
"Well you won't learn anything just from a book," Kaori laughed, "It's best to have someone teach you." Kaori smiled at the younger girl. "May I ask you why you are interested in the violin?"
"Well..." Asami began, "I want to become more sophisticated." She felt herself blush as she spoke.
"Sophisticated..." Kaori let the word wonder around in her thoughts for a few minutes. "So learning to play the violin will make you more sophisticated?"
Asami was at a lost of words. She didn't know how to respond to the question.
"Sophistication is good and all but I think it's important to have fun as well," Kaori said with a smile. "Don't feel like you have to change yourself and become more sophisticated. Just be who you are."
The words hit Asami deep inside. How many times has someone told her not to change who she is for another person, and yet she was here trying to learn how to play the violin to empress the very woman standing in front of her. Asami giggled and placed the book back on the shelf. "Thanks," She said to Kaori. Kaori nodded and watched as Asami walked out of the music store.
Sophistication. She didn't need it anymore. She was just fine being the young, childish girl that she was.
