There was something scratching at the door.

Bill had been about to run after Len, to follow him into De's quarters because yes, shit, De, how could they have been so blind, so self-involved, so -

Feeling vaguely wary - this was the Enterprise, after all - he crossed the room from the doorway of his bedroom, and opened the main door of the suite.
