[Currently, the event is going on in full force, and Adell knows well and good he's affected by it. But what he doesn't know is that thought bubbles can appear above your head even while you sleep. A napping Adell on the couch isn't something she often sees and the dream bubble over his head makes her roll her eyes.]

But of course, who else does he run into on the way? The dream version of his Mom. ...Who honestly doesn't look too much different, compared to Adell, who's added at least a flight jacket to his look. ...Yes, she still has the third eye. And no, no one really thinks that's weird here.
"Well... you're back earlier than I expected." Mom quips, probably in that knowing tone Adell has heard so much. ...Of course, even if the dialogue is silent, the expression on her face says it all.
Adell folds his arms over his chest and returns her expression with a half-glare. "I really hope you didn't think I was going to lose in the second round of this tournament."]

Mom's going to humor herself now, looking down from her spot with her hands on her hips, eyebrows raised.

Adell's expression quickly changes to exasperation. "We've been over that."

"...But it's not the most important thing in the world." Adell doesn't respond, but instead watches his Mom quietly and intently. "...Adell, I want you to make me a promise."
"Huh?"
"Promise me. That no matter what happens, that you will come home alive."]

[She folds her arms and covers her mouth with her hand, a smile spreading underneath. Ohoho, well, hahah. She laughs under her breath, cheeks flushing faintly in delight.
And then without a thought, she nudges the couch hard with her hip. Wake up, honey.]

If you have any love for your back, you'll go continue your nap in bed.
[Trust her, she's fallen asleep on there. Sometimes it hurts getting back.]

Yeah. I didn't get much sleep last night. ...Besides, I shouldn't be napping anyway. That'll only cause more problems for tonight.
But... I think I was having a really strange dream, or something...
