[Stahn himself was headed to the bar that night. Sometimes, he needed a good drink to ease his mind, especially when his friends were having so many problems, he couldn't help but worry about them.

Too bad he hasn't noticed Adell yet.]

[Adell sees Stahn walk in, but he doesn't make any motion to call him over. Not yet at least. In a way he's keeping to himself, brooding. Unusual for him, but given how he looks, how he feels mentally, physically, and emotionally, it's probably not hard to understand.

But from the corner, Stahn might eventually feel some sort of powerful gaze settling on him. Feel like you're being watched?]

[No, he doesn't, actually. But once he gets his drink, he swings around in his chair as he takes a sip.

...And that's when he spots Adell. Not that he realizes it's Adell, of course, but his attention certainly is on the young man right now.]

[Adell stares back at him... actually expecting what Stahn's seeing to click in his head in a moment or two.]

[Stahn continues to stare at Adell for a moment or two longer, not moving or blinking. Is he dead? Broken? Asleep? Who knows.

But he does eventually say something, though, it's muttered, so unless Adell's hearing has improved or he can read lips, he might not pick up on it.]

Adell...?

[...Quit sitting over there staring at him like an idiot, Stahn. Adell, growing impatient for Stahn to recognize him despite looking right at him, raises his hand a little.

Hey. Get over here.]

[Oh, he's calling him over! Better walk over to him now! Stahn gets off his chair, still carrying his drink, and approaches Adell.]

...Adell? Is that you?

Yeah. In the flesh.

[He's sitting there with his own drink. He motions for Stahn to sit down across from him.]

[Stahn sits down at the table across from Adell, setting his drink on the table in front of him.]

So, uhh... I guess this is how they decided to return you?

Unfortunately.

[Adell takes a drink out of his own glass. As he sets it back down, Stahn will probably be able to see the fangs and pointier teeth in his mouth.]

Well... [Okay, Stahn, time to be a supportive friend. It doesn't look like Adell's too pleased about it. But why should he be?]

...I don't think it looks that bad!

...Thanks. But it is pretty bad.

Right now, even in the Netherworld, I'd look like a freak.

Well, this isn't the Netherworld! No matter what you look like here, you're still Adell.

[He laughs lightly.]

Yeah. At least I still have my head together. Thankfully those bastards didn't mess with that. Just my powers and my appearance.

...Really? Your powers too?

[He nods, and then focuses for a moment, holding his hand above the table. Around it starts glowing a very eerie, unhealthy looking dark flame, a mix of deep purple and black.]

...My energy's running at full. All the time. It's like being constantly on the rush of battle. It fades at times, if I somehow manage to relax. But that's tough to do right now.
