037 [Action, Late Evening/Night]

[It has been a long goddamn day for Adell.  Axel in his bed this morning, Terra in his shower later, plus a lot of other strange and unfortunate incidents.  Right now, he's grabbing a soda, his book, and settling down in his room for a nice read.

[Noel decided to take a quick nap on the couch.

That was what she decided to do at noon; it's now early evening in Luceti. And Adell? You're teleporting in right next to her. Have fun with that.]

[Vorp! And... Adell ends up right next to Noel, an arm awkwardly slung around her in how he landed.

...Oh. This is not good. He's going to try to remove his arm from her and slip off the couch without her noticing. Maybe he can at least get out of here without bothering her.]

[Lucky for you, she's been quite the deep sleeper lately!

But Adell's not getting out that easily. 8| Not exactly making any distinction here with whatever this is, Noel leans a little into Adell. His chest is now being used as a pillow.

[...Oh goddammit, Noel. Now he can't move at all. This earns a silent sigh. All he can do is wait for her to move or wait for another teleport.]

[And after a few moments, she mumbles something incoherently before saying:]

[Huh? What... she's talking in her sleep? ...Not to him, obviously. But... he can't bring himself to move and disturb her, of all people.

After the day he's had, almost anyone else would be fair game for being woken up. Not Noel, though.]

[That's sweet of Adell. Unfortunately, the situation is about to get a little more awkward. Not too soon after she utters those words, Noel gets a little closer, her right hand beginning to cling to his shirt a bit. She actually looks a bit distressed.

She might be having a bad dream. No -- she is having a bad dream.]

[...She's clinging... and looks terrified. Well, as terrified as someone in their sleep can be.

He silently sighs again. If she's having a nightmare or something... well. Time to just suck it up and be a man. The awkward of this situation is probably not as bad for her as a nightmare. He gently touches a hand to her shoulder and gives her a very slight jostle.]

Noel? Wake up.

[A few more seconds pass. Noel doesn't seem to react to it at first, but... suddenly, the hand that was clinging to his shirt gives a light squeeze for a split second and, finally, her eyes begin to open.

At first, she doesn't really recognize where she's at.]

... Ungh...? Where...?

[He glances over to her. Might as well be honest.]

I think you were having a nightmare.

...Also. Before you go nuts, I got teleported here. There's a pain in the ass experiment going on.

She relaxes a little. Still blushing, but definitely less flustered than she was.] I... I see. You don't need to apologize for it, Adell. [...] But... wait. So you're saying there's another experiment? And it's making people teleport?

Thanks, Noel. I appreciate it.

[But then he nods at her question.]

Yeah. At random. To random places. I've been shunted around all over the place the past few hours. And people have shown up in my apartment. ...And I heard that stuff happened in the square that was really unfortunate.

...Just be careful what you do until this clears up, I guess is what I'm trying to say.
