Harry was a little too busy staring at the wand being pointed at him (by Draco Malfoy again) to even think about answering the question, his own wand staying up even as Pansy walked into the room and smacked Draco in the back of his head. Under any other circumstance, he would have found it funny, but he was too concerned to be amused. The library was trashed. This security breach wasn't an accident.

Katie now moved from behind Harry to stand next to him and assess the damage, something he was grateful for since it allowed him to keep his attention on Draco and make sure he wasn't about to hex them for kicks. While Draco and Pansy talked, he turned to Katie. "So what do you think?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure they didn't apparate in. I think the only way we were able to apparate in here was because the wards are already down in this room. Whoever came in came in either through the floo," she pointed at the fire place. "Or maybe a primitive Muggle way, like through the window. That is, if they weren't already in the house at the time and set the wards off when they started trashing the place." Katie gestured around the room. "I don't think I need to say that this was most likely a burglary or an attempted burglary?"

"I figured that, yes," Harry muttered. "I just don't know what they'd want to take from the library." He was about to say more, but then Malfoy was talking to him again. Harry relaxed his defensive stance, slipping his wand into his pocket. "I'd love to and everything, really, but Katie and I have to investigate this. Something important could have been stolen or this could be the work of one of the renegade Death Eaters or something. We were told to come down here and look into it."
