Well, that's it!
The Liberals have been dethroned after nearly 13 years of constant reign over Canada. We are now under a minority Conservative government, which is a very good thing, in my opinion, because
1. It's not the Liberals, which gives us a bit of a change (plus a government we can trust, to some extent at least) and
2. It's a minority government, which means the Conservatives can't run the house completely. Because quite frankly, if they could, we'd probably be in as much crap as we were with the Liberals.
The NDP has gained about 10 seats in the House of Commons, which gives them more credibility and makes them a stronger opposition, and the Bloc has lost a few seats, which is no big loss, because quite frankly, outside of this province, they're useless.
And mister André Arthur got himself a seat as the one and only Independent in the House of Commons. Great for him, and even better for his riding.
