(un)Fairpoint rant

Dec 29, 2009 09:31

I thumbed through the mail and came across what looked like a baby announcement. Opening it up, I see "Our little bundle of joy" in script and underneath "We are delighted to announce the arrival of the newest member of our family." It's an ad for FairPoint's highspeed internet-phone-tv "TriplePlay Bundle". (then I find myself making a noise that sounds like an angry kitty)

I'm not knocking them for advertising, really. That's what companies have to do to sell products, I know that. What I am ticked about is that after maybe 4 years of "service is not available in your area", when our next door neighbor's house IS able to get high speed, then this 'announcement'. Grrrr!! BTW, service is still unavailable in our 'area'.

Although dial-up rots like compost sometimes, I have to remember to be grateful for it.
