Writer's Block: Jury Duty
Actually, it wasn't a jury trial but a grand jury. All of us were from the southern part of the state. We met once a week. We were about 1/2 way through the term when a judge who had something to do with our case decided to retire. So...we ended up having to serve a couple of months longer than we would have. It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't had to drive 72 miles one way and got unpaid time off work. Oh well, that was a loooooong time ago.
