Vampire Cure - Follow Up

So, I found a quest at the Vampire Hunter Camp; South of Hillsbury Manor. The quest was called Cure the Curse. From the description, I presumed it was a cure for the Vampire Curse. However upon completing the quest, I was still afflicted by the curse. Though I believe this may be a bug.

The quest did however reward me with a fairy pet.



The pet stays out for several minutes; however it will only assist with one fight each time it is summoned.
