I remember the first time I went to Astor Place and saw the cube gone. It was disorienting and confusing. Had there ever really been a giant metal cube there on the concrete island, or was it some fever dream I'd had because the whole idea was so absurd?

I miss Kim's Video a lot. The Sock Man is about to close up shop (not that I ever bought socks there). How long until Gem Spa is replaced with a CVS or a TD Bank?

This is how I feel about the Meatpacking District. Since Florent closed I can't bring myself to go anywhere near the neighborhood. Meyers of Keswick and the Corner Bistro are still there. Nearly everything else is gone.
