Only about a hundred pages left...
I'm not quite finished, but can I say that Pride and Prejudice is a damn fine book. I had pretty much learned through cultural osmosis that Elizabeth is a smark, sarcastic woman, the kind I like. But Mr. Darcy... holy shit! Here's a man who's both kind and passonate, but has no skill at showing his affection, can't help but come across as a bit of a dick, and when he tries to show his depth of emotion he's greeted with derision. He's like me, only I'm not rich or good looking. And the woman I'm fond of doesn't have a change of heart about what a creep I am.
Anyway, 14 chapters to go. Damn this is a good book.
