What's your idea of a good night?

I mean a really good night, one that manages to encapsulate everything that is good about an aspect of your life, or a relationship, or a pasttime. Because last night was a good night. Perhaps not my best night, (That one's the night that started with a party with all my friends, and ended with just me and Erika watching Spice World at four in the morning. What?) But a really, really good night regardless.

What started the night was a conversation with my brother, where I mentioned that I'd never had the bacon maple bars from Voodoo Donuts. Every time I'd been, they were out. Besides, I really like the Crunchberry donuts.

Anyway, right before the Daily Show comes on, my brother takes off, saying he was heading to the WinCo. When he gets back, he has a feast with him, along with a bag from... well if you can't guess...

So he starts up the oven, and while Jon Stewart does his thing we both chow down on heaping plates of tater tots and Buffalo chicken strips, along with bottles of Henry's Root Beer. Then for dessert, out come the bacon maple bars, which taste better than they have any right to.

Afterwards, our conversation somehow reveals that my brother had no idea who Patton Oswald was. So I did a quick search on the tubes, and played some of his best bits. It's a good thing I waited until after eating, because my brother was laughing so hard he easily would have choked on any food.

All in all, we didn't manage to get to bed until about six in the morning. That was a good night.
