I really wish I could upload pictures, but it's going to have to wait till I get back. Today I decided to leave the quiet serenity of Ton Sai, and headed to the "main land". I wanted to go to Tiger Cave Temple, and while I was looking around for a bus there, a guy offers me a motorbike for $5 for 24 hours. I'm like hmm.... transport there and back is half that price, so I could have my own bike and go wherever whenever for just a little bit more, so I took it. They are definitely much better drivers here in Thailand, and even with my first time on a motorbike (scooter) I didn't have any near misses. I got to the temple, parked my bike, and headed up the 1,232 steps to the top of the mountain where the temple is. It was quite hot, I got dizzy probably a bit of heat exhaustion but I made it up in about 35 or 40 minutes. Took some pictures and descended.. I get to the bottom to discover that the helmet that was strapped to my bike was gone. I asked around and a couple guys said a monkey probably made off with it. Obviously not true as the monkeys are rather small... I think they just don't want to give the tourist a bad impression but admitting that people steal. But no big deal, I rode very carefully back to the shop, replaced the helmet for $5 and continued on my way. I rode to the more developed area around and it felt like an American beach, so I actually left quite quickly, and came back to Krabi. I have a bungalow back at Ton Sai, but I'm spending the night here so I can head out and check out some waterfalls tomorrow morning with the time left on my motorbike, then head back.

Oh and news from Yesterday. I ran into a family with a kid who had gotten cut really bad in the mangroves, I mean nasty cut lots of blood. The father said he was a doctor and was looking for a suture kit. I offered him some first aid supplies and helped to clean out the wound, which was full of sand and stuff, then close it up with some butterflies, and encouraged him to get a boat into town so they could put the stitches in in a more sterile environment. He gave me some cash to buy beer and offered more to pay for the stuff we used, but I said don't worry about it, and went about my business to go rock climbing.
