I am 33. I have a history of asthma and I have migraines. I had a single questionable pap smear about two years ago and have had two clear paps since. I have never smoked. I don't drink. I exercise. They didn't ask me about my exercise habits or drinking habits, but they did ask my weight.
I have never had cancer or heart problems. I would have told you that I was pretty healthy. I thought it would not be a big deal, even after I spent an hour and a half talking over my medical history in detail, not wanting to leave anything out. And another week picking up bits of documentation to patch holes in my memory.
I am not sure what to do next. I suppose I will look in to CoverFlorida. But I never would have suspected that I was uninsureable. I thought that that list was for people who were survivors- of cancer, heart attacks other major medical traumas. I have not really survived anything but life.
I wonder how many of the people who oppose health reform could actually buy health insurance, I always assumed that I could.
