[FIC] BABYSITTING HIM SEQUEL TRILOGY

Aug 11, 2008 22:52

Hi, so turns out I can’t leave the babysitting universe after all. This is for the people hounding me for yunjae/jaeho. I think this short trilogy can probably be read separate from Babysitting Him.

Also, my mind is on a vacation for OBSESSION. Sorry!

This is set awhile after Jaejoong comes back to live in Hwa-andang with teenage Yunho.

===

Supposed to be a series of drabbles but I expect each part to be about 1000 words.

~.~

It’s nearly eleven and Yunho’s lying comfortably on the couch in the living room, trying hard to not think. Fifteen minutes ago he was attempting to comprehend important key concepts for his major final examination but he found himself distracted by wandering thoughts and decided to relax for a bit.

The house is awfully quiet save for the occasional snores that escape from his sleeping parents in the master bedroom. His parents and baby brother Changmin retired to bed a little while ago, after leaving him a bowl of soft chocolate-chip cookies and wishing him the best of luck in his studying.

It’s not like he’s that stressed and scared of failing or not doing well. Always consistent and hardworking because of his drive to prove himself and make his loved ones proud, the exam’s the last thing on his mind, really.

“Where on earth is Jaejoong?” wonders Yunho aloud, tapping his fingers on the soft fabric of the couch.

Jaejoong’s eatery closes at nine. But he has to clean up and close the shop and usually makes it home a little after ten.

It’s late. Yunho finds himself staring upwards and following the blades of the slow-moving ceiling fan. They’re supposed to stop him from thinking but they provoke a strange whirl of thoughts instead.

Their being together is difficult to define, but it’s something like an unsaid agreement to love and be there. Together is a complex combination of understanding, love and fear, and exists within a boundary they don’t dare or want to cross.

Normally, Yunho visits Jaejoong’s eatery after school to help out or simply hang out together but due to his upcoming examinations he’s been spending time at home instead. He’s tried, many times, to explain to Jaejoong - after all, he’s been very diligent with schoolwork, helping with serving is more calming than taxing, and they don’t spend enough time together - but Jaejoong just laughs and shoos him away, promising to be home as early as possible.

Why is he taking so long? We’re supposed to be… well, together.

Yunho sighs and shuts his eyes. He won’t be able to fall asleep but perhaps it’ll help him rest.

Thankfully, it isn’t long before the familiar tinkling of keys is heard and Yunho springs up from the couch in anticipation.

“I’m home,” whispers Jaejoong, as he tries to lock the door as quietly as possible. He tosses his keys into his bag. “I’m sorry for being so late.”

“Well, so what happened?” Yunho replies, failing to hide the worry in his voice.

“The last customer refused to leave after his meal.”

“Yeah?” The reason’s hardly satisfactory to Yunho.

Jaejoong laughs, his hands flying to his mouth to conceal his mirth. “Actually, he couldn’t. I tried to wake him up but he was fast asleep. So I cleaned up and everything and waited.”

“You could have called, you know?” Yunho pouts before looking away. He bends down and picks up his dropped pencils and books, and tries to arrange his scattered school materials as neatly as possible.

“Sorry Yunho-yah.”

Yunho lets out a sharp, “Hmph” and refuses to look at Jaejoong. He flips open a notebook and pretends to be focused on a challenging problem.

“Oh Yunho! Come on now…”

Jaejoong sits himself down on the couch next to Yunho and pats him lightly. Unfortunately, he is blatantly ignored.

“Yunhoyah, I told you I was sorry…” Jaejoong is positively whining.

Yunho gives a quick smirk to Jaejoong and returns to his scribbling. He cannot cave in like that. Jaejoong had neglected together!

Reaching over to the bowl in the middle of the table, Jaejoong asks, “Cookie? In exchange for forgiveness?” He grabs a piece and holds it out in front of Yunho but Yunho shakes his head.

Jaejoong whimpers a bit but quickly pops the cookie into his mouth. “How about these then?” he points to a cute and fluffy goodie bag. “I made some special ones for you today.”

Now that’s something. Yunho perks up, smiles, and makes grabby hands at the Jaejoong-made cookies.

~.~

Jaejoong shakes his head at the sight of silly hungry Yunho stuffing his face. “So… I can see you’re busy but can I rant?”

“Ye…” is all Yunho can manage with the cookies in his mouth. He nods fervently, shaking the cookie crumbs on his clothes off into a bin.

“I got a little mad at work.”

“Mmm?”

Jaejoong scowls and continues, “This girl came today and asked for you.”

“Hmm?” Yunho blinks incredulously.

“I mean I guess she was referring to you. She asked for the cute waiter.”

Yunho chokes. But he swallows his mouthful of cookies successfully and questions, “And?” He feels emboldened now. “That made you mad?”

“Yes… Very much so…” Jaejoong narrows his eyes at the cookie bowl.

“Well, she doesn’t know…” Yunho smiles to himself, holding down “that we are together.” He can’t resist poking Jaejoong’s cheek. Jaejoong’s so cute like that, pretending? to be jealous.

Then Jaejoong deadpans, “Oh, but she left this goodie bag of cookies for you.”

Yunho takes five seconds to take in what Jaejoong has revealed before exclaiming “Argh… You!” feeling horribly cheated but very amused indeed.

He then wiggles his fingers mock-threateningly and moves in for the kill.

A gasp. “No…”

Yunho sniggers. He then pounces.

And tickles.

“Yes yes, I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” Jaejoong says, in a roar of laughter, clutching his stomach when the attempt to push Yunho off fails miserably.

“So you think you’re funny?” Yunho halts the tickling. He tries to look as stern as possible but he is laughing despite himself.

“No… Well, maybe?” chortles Jaejoong, struggling to get up, but Yunho laughs (somewhat menacingly) and quickly firmly holds his wrists down.

They giggle and gaze into each other’s eyes for a moment.

Jaejoong exhales deeply and it is then, with Jaejoong’s warm breath caressing his lips, that

Yunho realizes how compromising their current positions are. He’s fallen on top of Jaejoong and their lips could touch any second. Jaejoong has always been attractive to Yunho but right now he’s plain beautiful. His twinkling eyes look rounder up-close and his cheeks are turning a little rosy. And his lips look ready to, well…

It’s very tempting indeed, but it’d ruin together.

Jaejoong then ruffles his hair and Yunho supposes that Jaejoong’s probably thinking the same things as he is.

“Yunhoyah, don’t you have homework to do? Better get back to that.”

Yunho nods. It isn’t time to change together. Yet.

TO BE CONTINUED. Thoughts and comments? Do point me to any errors in grammar and issues you may have with the storytelling!

And yes, inspiration came when I saw this little pic: *awws*
