guy walks into an advertising agency ::S3 EP6

ok, this was the first season 3 Mad Men episode I really loved.

oh, the angst, oh the change of the circumstances at every commercial turn, oh the dark -- black, black, black -- humor, oh the poor darling Joan!

"guy walks into an advertising agency".

good!
now i hope they match it next week with something decent.

was Dr. Harris really THAT clueless? I mean, there is a spectacular gap between being chief resident and not being able to practice surgery in the state of New York ever again! To be THAT much in denial?? And Joan, oh Joan! Of course, the perfect words "I married you for your heart, not your hands" (is this what she said? I remember the part about the heart verbatim, not the other part though) -- had to be said by perfect Joan. She better not mean it!

that's a.

and b.

I think contrary to what Alan says, Guy will make his appearance again at Sterling & Coop's. Also, something tells me he's going to be hmmmm.... somewhat interested in Peggy (next week's episode scenes -- she gets a present from some mysterious "he"). Let's see what happens, foot or no foot. Do we see a love triangle coming (see my last note)?

finally, a c -- i think the "perfect father Don" picture was a bit too long and a bit much at the end; still, I am glad he found the words.

nice gun on the wall -- the severed arm of Sterling the elder -- the severed foot of Guy the Cambridge dude! Not to mention, Joan's clueless husband of a surgeon vs. Joan's expert hands! May be she should have been named chief resident.

oh, and it just occurred to me -- bare feet -- in every episode -- first epi: don's; second: sally's teacher's (i'm glad she's gone this week, btw); third: Jane's; fourth -- don't remember but there definitely were bare feet; fifth: betty's; sixth (this): poor Guy's. What the hell do they mean??

*
as a final note, it was quite nice to see Peggy faint into Pete's able arms. awwww!

They better not disappoint me next week!
