Farce and face

Ever tried to do a teleconference when you have no voice? I had that honour today. It is a good job I had a couple of translators in the room with me to relay my squawking croaks into English. Cue many, many giggles and guffaws all round. Still, we got the job done.

The national cold is receding and I'm feeling a lot better. I have to go out to a make-up party soon. There is no escape, I cannot pretend to be going out; it is at the house next door. The last thing I feel like doing is watching a slap-demo with a warmish glass of wine (I am tempted to take a bottle of chilled Veuve with me, but that's a bit rude). These demo's make my hair curl. Once upon a time I used to do them myself. I suppose one could say that this is a subtle revenge for the boredom I've inflicted on others. Ah well. Tally ho!
