(no subject)
hello everyone... Sorry for the long time with no update... i've been pretty busy.. I was tied up for a few days with my knee, i stayed off it for about 3ish days, since i knew i was going to be on it while i was in CALIFORNIA!!! I went to one of the conference i always go to, this time it was in Berkeley. It was soo beautiful, esspecially since i heard it rained here in MA all week, lol... Overall the conference went very well, i was reelected to the Regional Board of Directors (RBD), which is basically an e-board for NE and NY in the organization i'm in. Also, Salem State won a slu of awards including School of the Year, we beat out such universities as Arizona State University, Cornell, and many other schools, its an awesome thing and i am so proud of SSC. We also one a building block award for our honor society, which basically means we had the most growth over a year. Another award that was won was a roll call video, the region i'm in NEACURH has now won it for 6 years in a row, no one has ever held it for that long.. It's very exciting and other regions hate us for it...
So besides the conference i have been doing a lot of driving.. One of my friends from NEACURH (the conferences) had a job interview at BU, so i picked her up at the airport and we stayed salem for thursday and friday and played in boston for friday night, it was awesome, we went to the hard rock had dinner and a few drinks on the girls dad, she refused to let us pay. We hung out after that and just chilled. On saturday i stopped at Ash Cates grad party, saw a few people. On sunday i headed back to Salem to pick up another friend and headed to another grad party, this one for a college student, it was fun... I saw a kid that went to my school and graduated 2 years ago, he was kinda one of my mentors when he was there so it was great to see him. Today i went shopping and bought lots of clothes that were on sale and some shoes. Oh, and my mom and i got our tickets for ARUBA, so exciting, i leave in 10 days...
I guess thats about it from me, i am heading out with my mom and a family friend tomorrow, then to Salem on Friday for a retreat for the RBD, then we leave next Thursday :-D!!!
