David Ford is my HERO

Oct 07, 2005 02:22

Upon performing diagnostics the technician (David Ford) found that:

1. The front and rear bank of spark plugs were not reinstalled

2. All six cylinders had adequate compression and leak down checks passed

3. The motor appeared to want to fire and run WITH spark plugs indicating a possible timing problem

4. (PAY CLOSE ATTENTION HERE) After removal of the timing belt to check previous shops work, technician found that although the timing belt marks lined up, the crank shaft position sensor ring was positioned incorrectly on the crankshaft timing gear. (Hmmmmm?)

5. After replacing the timing gear the vehicle ran smoothly.

So there it is, officially in writing, and I OFFICIALLY have my car back :D Eeeeeee! Now to get my money back and tell the world my tale. I am indebted to David MAJORLY. Today is a happy day.
