2008 comes to an end. Last year I think I was playing Warcraft at this time. I traded for the old 7-4 shift today and tomorrow and it reminds me why I played Warcraft before. It was something to do when I didn't see Amy for 2-3 days over the weekend. Now working late shifts that are only about 30-40 minutes apart it allows us to spend more time together, and also getting home around 12:30 doesn't make for a good schedule of game play with anyone else in the group. But, Amy's changing jobs soon. Her hours will shift and the car will be hers again. I used to take the bus to work, but then discovered walking was faster. Then driving was the lazy, quick way to get to work and carpool with Amy.
In a few weeks it till be back to biking. Timing wise, the bike is the fastest way to get to work. Biking home at midnight is less good though. I've been unhappy with the choices for adequate night lighting and did a small search yesterday and placed an order for a Reelight. It's basically a magnetically charged light that powers itself as you pedal. It takes no batteries and attaches more firmly to the bike, so there's no chance for it to fall off and break like the first set of lights I purchased did.
So what will I do with the time while Amy is at work and I'm home alone once again and the same for her? de Blob for the Wii has been entertaining the both of us and I wrapped it and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed up over the last few days off. The call of Warcraft is back tonight, but I'm attempting to find alternative options. Amy's free days into the park as easily as I did is now gone. My camera is now broken after the trip we took back to Roseville before Christmas. I think I broke it sometime on the way back home, perhaps when we were attempting to solve the problem of the dead car battery. My options to head into the parks and take pictures is there, but it will be mostly solo trips and I have no camera at the moment.
I'm thinking of more to discuss, but there's not much more at the moment.
